Parent Partnership

At Foundation Nurseries, we believe that parents and carers are the key advocates in their children’s learning and development. They have invaluable knowledge of their child's personality, interests, and abilities, making them essential partners in the educational journey. Building strong, collaborative relationships with families is central to our approach and plays a vital role in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). We strive to create a nurturing, “extended family” atmosphere where children feel supported, understood, and encouraged to thrive.

Each child is assigned a key person and a secondary person who work closely with both the child and their family. These dedicated professionals ensure that parents are regularly updated on their child’s day, their developmental progress, and any concerns. This continuous communication strengthens the partnership and ensures that parents are always informed and involved in their child’s learning journey.

Parents are always welcome to visit the nursery, and staff are available for daily communication. We also hold parent meetings to discuss children's development and provide support for children who may need additional assistance.

To further enhance this partnership, Foundation Nurseries uses a secure, bespoke online platform to capture key moments in each child’s learning journey. Through photos, videos, and written reflections, practitioners document milestones and progress, providing parents with real-time updates. The platform allows parents to engage with their child's development by sharing their own observations, feedback, and home learning experiences. This two-way communication creates a continuous dialogue that supports the child’s learning both at home and at nursery, ensuring consistency and fostering positive growth.

Together, we create an environment where children feel secure, supported, and empowered to explore, learn, and develop at their own pace.
